Title: VPN and internet connection loss

Hello,
When I establish a vpn connection to my server, I do not have internet connection anymore : web radio goes dead, internet links show the turning wheel endlessly. I use a windows 7 pro laptop with a wifi connection, in a hotel. As soon as I disconnect from vpn, everything goes fine again with internet. I tried to specify google dns (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in both windows 7 wifi and vpn connection settings, but nothing changed. Any hint is most welcome.

Generally by default the Microsoft ppp vpn client routes all traffic through the tunnel. The internet should still work, but appear to be coming from the remotes ip address. When I use their client, I usual have to restart my music stream.

I use the Draytek smart client, since it more configurable allowing you to choose what you want to route throught the tunnel and it's free :)

FYI: when I configure a VPN from M$ Windows, I enter in advanced configs of TCPIP v4 and untick the "use VPN as default route" (or something like that.
This way the VPN is just for server traffic, everything else continues using your link... and no connections are lost.
Same you get using other client, just using M$ stuff!
