guys hope you can help
i have been searching for a solution but cannot seem to find one
i need to install openoffice on my sme server
i then need to create a share and then need to be able to " Edit, Save, Create " Documents etc. via a Web Browser (IE or Firefox)
i had a look at the OpenOffice Contrib for windows " http://wiki.contribs.org/OpenOffice_for_Windows "
however this seems to want the user to " Install " a Portable version of the OpenOffice app on a Workstation
my problem is that the User(s) are needing to work offsite using any pc from any location
any ideas? :)

To only host documents that is not needed. I even think that is highly undesireable as that would need a lot off packages including a window manager which you do not want on a head less SME Server.

Set up a VPN and store the documents in the files location of an ibay or install webdav (http://wiki.contribs.org/DAV) and enable autoversioning.

Yes, if you NEED to provide this, you're looking for VIRTUAL machines on your LAN (or inside server).
You could install something like VirtualBox, XENServer, VMWare in you SME or on another machine (best option) and configure appropriate security measures (VPN or strong authentication) to allow your users to log in on those virtual machines from anywhere.
Be warned: SECURITY is you BIGGEST concern here... you're providing a computer to anyone who can authenticate!

I think you are after some sort of online tool or cloud based software.
Google provides this & is probably the easiest & cheapest way of implementing it.
