I don't know yet if this is a bug or if I destroyed something in some way, so I'll ask here first..
I'm running 8.0beta6 and I applied the centos-upgrades last week. I use an ext3 usb-disk labeled backup1 which used to mount automatically on /media/backup1 during backup.
Since the upgrade I get this mail:
Error while mounting /media/backup1
:
mount: can't find /media/backup1
in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
Backup terminated: backup failed - status: 7424
Looking into /media there are two folders: backup1 and backup1? (yes, exactly as I typed, with ? at the end of the name). Deleting the folders and running a new backup attempt (which then ends with the error mentioned) creates the two folders again.
So anyone else with this problem? I can't remember beeing tinkering on the server except for the upgrade..

Due to the newline I think you are suffering from this bug: http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6605
You can easily work around this by:
- updating e-smith-backup as detailed in the bug
[li]remove the ^M from the SmbShare property:
[/li][/list]db configuration setprop backupwk SmbShare /media/backup1
However every time you will save the backup page in server-manager you might get this back if you do not update to the newer e-smith-backup.[/li]

Cactus, thanks for the hint, solved.

Please don't do that. If you think there is a chance that it is a bug, please report via the bug tracker.

- remove the ^M from the SmbShare property:
We should add a migrate fragment so that this is done automatically during the upgrade.

You know how to do that :-)... Please open a bug in the bugtracker (sorry I couldn't resist), so we can discuss it there, as I have got a slightly other opinion.
