(using 5.1.2 with blade update)
I am trying to install 2 rpms to give the server the ability to collect pop mail from my ISP pop mail boxes. To do this I presumably have to get the rpm files to the server.
First I tried the fd, but mount insisted /dev/fd0 was not a block device (I have not tried tar|dd, yet).
Then I tried to ftp the rpm files to the server, as a normal user or as admin (I have enabled (local) FTP access via server-manager). The ftp session opens ok and I can use cd and dir etc., but put always fails.
I have read and re-read the manual and had a go at searching the forums, but cant find what I am doing wrong.
Help.

I use Update System (http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/update-system-0.0.1/) and just download the RPMs on a client PC. For the first one, or if you don't like not being in total control, http://www.star-support.com/downloads/mitel/howto/rpm-howto.htm will probably help you out.

Use one of the many good SSH clients available ... I use SSH Secure Shell from www.ssh.com ... it even has file transfer built in. Or you can use PuTTY.
