Title: Can somebody help me read this sniff?
Post by: Kevin on July 16, 2002, 09:02:07 AM
After upgrading both my e-smith servers to 5.5 and having to rebuild my XP Pro box awhile back, I cannot establish a PPTP connection to the office.  Below I have my config, SME messages entries and a sniff.  I have port 1723 and protocol 47 being forwarded on the DSL/Router to the external interface of the SME Office box (Sentry).  Looks pretty clear to me the termination notice is being sent from my XP box (guardian), but I cannot figure out why.  Does anybody have any clues?  I ran the sniff from my workstation at home trying to PPTP to the office.  I can send the full frame info for any line it is needed.

On the XP box, I have tried forcing High Encryption/No Encryption, Compression On/Off, have explicitly set the connection type to PPTP, etc.

XP Pro (Home) -->  SME 5.5  --  Internet  -->  DSL Modem  -->  SME 5.5 (Office)
