Title: Mailman on SME 8.0B7
Post by: damjan on January 22, 2012, 07:12:11 PM
Hi,

Does anyone got working mailman package on the SME 8.0B7 (two packages actually)?

The installation procedure:
yum --enablerepo smecontribs install mailman smeserver-mailman

results in following replay:

Excluding Packages from CentOS - os
Finished
Excluding Packages from CentOS - updates
Finished
Setting up Install Process
Package 3:mailman-2.1.9-6.el5_6.1.i386 already installed and latest version
No package smeserver-mailman available.
Nothing to do

Topics on forum vary from troubles on 7.5.1 with apache to console hangs during update procedure with 8.x .

Does anyone got two packages: mailman and smeserver-mailman successfully installed on 8.0b7 ?
Are there any other alternatives for having mailing list program on SME 8.0 ?

Thank you for answers

D.

Hi Stefano,

Thank you for your feedback.

I have put sme7 contribs repo following wiki:

http://wiki.contribs.org/SME8.0_Contribs_QA

installed it successfully:
yum --enablerepo=sme7contribs --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-mailman

but after restart  SME got this one:
http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6693

Any solution?

Thank you

D.

IMO the creation of an sme8contribs repo (and 8.X Contribs topic in bugzilla) is long overdue.
