The computer corrupted both mirrored hard drives today -
I have a backup of 70 Gigs for the system which I have tried copying to a external Sata BU drive from my workstation and then attaching to the USB port on the server, the server sees the drive but not the dar files and zip file. It was within a directory on the work station - is there some particular way it needs to be when trying to restore using a attached usb drive?
Also the USB drive I have is formatted to NTSF , is it possible it needs to be formatted as Fat 32?
If this doesn't work I also have it backed up as a Winrar file but then I have to recreate all my volumes, set the network card types etc which I would prefer to have done automatically if the Dar backup is capable of it?
TGIF
Thanks,
Ken

Excuse me I meant the backup drive is formatted as NTFS , does it need to be FAT32?

Please excuse again - I see Fat32 is in fact required

That Google custom search works really well.

If I understand you correctly your server is lost... HDD corrupted.... so reformat it as first time, booting from CD and start over.
Later you can copy data from you workstation to your server using network.
If not what you wish, wipe the corrupted ared (just the system ibay ??? are you sure????) and copy data from your workstation using network.
Do not make things hard way!
