Title: dansguardian locking itunes.

Has anyone come across a permanent workaround for the itunes/dansguardian problem?

I am aware that itune 9.0 onwards is blocked because of the unconventional way in which the itunes store url is defined- it ends the url with a "."

Can anyone shed more light on the problem and hopefully a solution. :-)

P.S came across this work around- has anyone tried it? - is it stable- did it break anything?, i don't have a test system set up, only a production one.

create/install a virtual machine on your pc/laptop using Centos4.X or SME 7.5.1, take dansguardian's source package (for example from here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/smeserver/releases/7.5.1/smecontribs/SRPMS/dansguardian-2.10.0.3-4.el4.sme.src.rpm), patch it, rebuild rpm

Thanks Stefano, Ill do that next week- got lots of study at the moment- I have a sermon to prepare this weekend- Ill post the results. Thanks again.  :-)
