Title: Contrib Sme7admin on SME8 ?

I was running a contrib http://wiki.contribs.org/Sme7admin on my SME7 system, but I had to remove it for SME8 because of dependency issues.
I really miss and need the information I was getting from Sme7admin, does anybody know if it is possible to somehow install Sme7admin on SME8? 
If not, is there an alternative software that I can use that will give me the information that Sme7admin did?

After doing some searching, I have found that the author has released an update. I don't know why this is not noted on the actual contrib page, or why the old contrib is still available for download.

My guess is that is because he author did not commit his changes to the CVS and ran a build in the build system as he stated he does not have access to those systems. Perhaps you could remind him to get access and publish his new version through the repository changes.
