Title: email domains & virtual domains
Post by: Seth Vanderdrift on July 18, 2002, 05:45:07 AM
Im having a problem with dns resolution using our sme 5.1.2 server.  The sme server is the server/gateway for our lan.

The server is the mail server for 3 domains.

domain1.org, domain2.com, domain3.com

I setup the 3 domains as virtual domains, so we can get email.  mail works fine.

But, the websites are hosted on other machines.

When I try to access the websites from the internal network, SME DNS doesnot resolve the proper IP's.  It says there is no such server www.domain1.org "non-existant domain"

How do I configure the sme server to receive mail for the domains, but not try to serve http for them?

Thanks

Seth
