Is there any guide to setup SME Server to be virtualized? I got one machine but I want to run 2 different server sessions on it. I never done this before, does anyone know of a good guide?

if your just getting your feet wet.
i suggest watching some videos on youtube.
you might want to try proxmox os to load operating systems onto.
i got my feet wet with microsoft virtual software(MS VPC) then used software from Vmware called vmware workstation
now there is virtualbox from sun that runs on many different operating systems
but if i wanted to run two sme servers on one box, i would try proxmox, it is free.

i have used vmware workstation a lot but I have never run a server, only desktops. So I was wondering if there is any way to run the virtualization on bare metal?
-
proxmox, vmware esx are the first answers

There is an article on this site that describes a virtual SME-server installation:

Also see

and search these forums for the other virtualization software mentioned.

@all: OP is asking for a bare metal virtualization, so virtualbox and vmware (server or workstation) are not the answer..

I've been running ESXi hypervisor with SME as a guest for over a year, my notes are here:
