Title: How does one switch to 8.0RC1 from b7?

I understand that this might be a silly question, but I've got a b7 system running, with all updates installed, but system console shows 8.0b7, whereas RC1 has been released. Is there something extra I should do to upgrade to RC1?

I don't think it has yet been released.
IIRC it is available for download with jigdo, but I think it is not working or not possible to download that way at present, so you will have to wait.
Refer bugzilla or a recent devinfo post about this
