I am not sure if the Bugtracker is still relevant for V7 now that V8 has been released.
When updating to V7.6 from command line I get message that there are no updates.

I have previously followed followed all instructions here http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,48424.0.html and since rechecked them.
[root@server2 ~]# rpm -q smeserver-yum
smeserver-yum-2.0.0-11.el4.sme
I have searched for the rpm for an updated smeserver-yum to install manually without success.
I am not sure what my best next move is. I am not quite ready to move to V8. Any guidance would be very much appreciated.
(Happy to go to the bugtracker if still relevant)

There were a dozen or so updates a few days ago for my 7.5.1 server.
sme7.6 is a current release and will still be around for a while until everyone finally updates.
I suggest you lodge a bug report.
Alternatively if you don't want to wait, you can download the sme7.6 iso and upgrade from CD.

I suspect I have missed these also. My system wont update since I applied the fiddles resulting from Centos 4 going obsolete.
Thank You. I had forgotten about the option to do a CD update. If that fails, I will go to the Bugtracker if it is still active for V7

7.6 will be supported for a long time yet I suspect, even though EOL.
Please lodge a bug report, I think someone may have forgotten to put the 7.6 packages into the updates repo or something similar (???)

From here
http://wiki.contribs.org/Adding_Software#Yum_Repositories
To check which repositories are installed and their status do
/sbin/e-smith/audittools/repositories
On an unmodified sme server only the following are enabled
base: enabled
smeaddons: enabled
smeextras: enabled
smeos: enabled
smeupdates: enabled
updates: enabled
Any other repository that is installed and listed should have a status of disabled.
It might also pay to post the output of those enabled repos so others can check if you have them set correctly now.
ie using (adjust the repo name for each)
db yum_repositories show smeupdates
and so on

I don't think so.. updated 8 servers yesterday without any issue..

Oh I just checked, my server is at v7.6, so they were the updates I saw.
Based on this and what Stefano says, then updates are working OK.
I suggest you post the settings for each of those repos that should be enabled as standard and someone here will tell you if they are correct or not.
Probably something there is incorrect.

/sbin/e-smith/audittools/repositories
Thank you for that pointer. The repositories were not set correctly. Correcting those has now resolved the issue.
Appreciate the assistance.

Yes it is, as long as SME Server 7.x is not obsolete.
