Title: ide-scsi for backupedge
Post by: Dan on July 21, 2002, 02:06:39 AM
I am trying to get 5.5 to work with backupedge software.
Problem is that the CD-RW is ID'ed  as IDE device and non-writable by backupedge.

Just noticed in the bugs report a similar problem affecting ide tape drives and a work around to load the ide-scsi driver as it is not loaded by default in 5.5.

I have not worked with custom templates, so can someone share a custom template for loading this driver at boot time?

I am still learning, but not quite there yet!

Thanks,

You might give CD Utils a try.  I have it installed on 5.1.2.  I don't know if it will work on 5.5.
