Hi guys, after a number of years running SME 7 without a hitch we have started experiencing an issue with the email system.
Over the past couple of days a number of senders have reported there emails have bounced back with the following error

Is this an issue with my ISP or a configuration error?
I've searched online and through the manuals but can't find a solution that seems to apply. You're help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

SME version?

Currently running 7.xx, not too sure how to get a more accurate version number.

It's impossible to say, because you haven't shown the full bounce message, and you have probably altered it as well.
If I had to guess, I would say that it is a DNS problem. The DNS for 'mycompany.com' lists an MX record for a server which is not configured to receive email for the domain 'mycompany.com'.
[I expect 'mycompany.com' is just an alias for some other domain.]

I too am seeing email issues. Is it possible to configure the mail system to only send mail from the accounts on the server and NOT process other senders? Especially senders from domains not hosted on the server?

Mike, please do not hijack an existing thread to ask unrelated questions.

Before closing this thread, turned out the issue was my ISP merging some of it's services and its mail services were effected. My ISP will be the first port of call in future.
