Post by: jameswilson on June 11, 2012, 11:40:51 PM
charlie i know your going to point me to the red text but i think its cos im using it outside of scope. feel free to point me to the tracker mind.

I had a sme 7.6 box running well but had the php5 cgi vulnerability so braved the yum upgrade.
all seemed to go well. but on reboot

Code: [Select]
11/06/2012 22:37:14 Error: Starting VM 'Versigo Server' - Internal error: Failure("Error from xenguesthelper: caught exception: Failure(\\\"Subprocess failure: Failure(\\\\\\\"xc_dom_linux_build: [2] xc_dom_parse_elf_kernel: ELF image has no shstrtab\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\")\\\")")
im proper lost?

xenguesthelper is not part of SME server software.

it probably isnt mate but this was a sme 7.x (well 7.5) installed as a xen guest. Upgrades always went well. I was worried about upgrading it as i knew if i had an issue i would be told i was using sme in an unsupported way. I agree i was.

But thanks anyway

I doubt that is the issue. You appear to have this installed. I suggest you remove it.
