Title: smbfs dar2 backups not recognised in sme8?
Post by: focfree on June 17, 2012, 09:46:13 PM
dar2 & backups works ok in 7.5.1
& also in 7.6
Clean upgraded to 8.0 and installed dar2 with sme7contribs repo succesfully.

created a backup job as was in 7.5, 7.6.

did a ./dar-mc after root login
keyed in the backup job name as prompted.
it tried to mount the backup NAS,
but it quit after complaining that 'smbfs' is an unknown filesystem.

hate to revert back to 7.6... anyone has done smbfs dar2 restore om sme 8.0,
care to share your journey?

thanks

I just upgraded a server to 8 from 7,6 and was using Dar2 before. Getting that same error now as you: 'unknown file type SMBFS'.

Also, 'back up to usb device' (from Admin panel) doesn't see my usb drive anymore either.   it shows it mounted, and the activity lights go, but fails.
