Title: ICMPs
Post by: ElFroggio on July 20, 2012, 03:30:21 PM
Hi,

I'm using SME8. The Internet is really, really slow :-(, but only for the SME server.  After, finally, talking to a "real" techie. The connections to the server are throttled because it doesn't accept the ICMPs.

Any suggestion on how to do that?

Thanks

Get your "techie" to elaborate. SME server does accept ICMP messages. Why is he/she telling you that it doesn't?

How is your SME server connected to the Internet?

wich icmp?? or  your machine are admistrativeli configured to not respond to ping or you receve some other
code on the retourning datagram. is usefull use a sniffer like wireshark filter such message and look the
flags to see the retourning message. the m off the acronim mean message because in case of error you can identify the problem...
