Title: New SME 8 as webserver with FTP access

Hi,

I'm planning to set up a new server running latest SME 8. The server is only going to be used as a webserver and I need FTP access to the ibays. In this topic: http://wiki.contribs.org/FTP_Access_to_Ibays there's some kind of configuration needed to run FTP access. Is this configuration also needed with SME 8?

Yes.

sme stays essentially the same between versions, except for improvements & additional features.

I recently upgraded to SME 8 from an old broken 7.2 and it FTP works just fine. The only thing that needed to be adjusted with the website side of things was a form that was referencing an older version of PHP.
