Hello I need help with care most of the advertisements.
Seems http://wiki.contribs.org/AddExtraHardDisk to create a raid .
There is a server disk SME 7.
I plugged in another SATA disk
Existing 500G
The new 1000G
fdisk-l
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 14 60801 488279610 8e Linux LVM
Disk /dev/sdb: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/sdb doesn't contain a valid partition table
I know they are not the same size
Prefer to move into a raid
Simply afraid to do alone the ?

/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 14 60801 488279610 8e Linux LVM
Disk /dev/sdb: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 1 121601 976760001 fd Linux raid autodetect
It came the next command.?
Additional steps to create a raid array from multiple disks
mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md? --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/? /dev/?

mgb.. just add the new disk to the arrai via admin console..
the, if you have a second 1000 GB disk, repeat the steps
finally, expand your filesystem..
btw, the howto in the wiki is clear enough, please re-read it, thank you

"mgb.. just add the new disk to the arrai via admin console"
="there are no raid devices configured"
The 2 problem was with the basic installation noraid
disk without md Red So instead I have
to change this problem sda to md
disk 1 500
disk new 1000
" It is not clear enough to the new disk or old confusion has come commands
Who is meant to change or renew existing disk
Explanation
Perhaps obvious if you understand the structure of the disk
So he does not need explanation"

if you are not using raid in your setup, the best way is to backup, reinstall and restore..
any other way is too dangerous

Thank you
too dangerous ok
