Hello,
I'm trying to install Ruby on my SMEbox and I tried the Howto here :
http://wiki.contribs.org/RubyOnRails
But it's probably not uptodate (files seems not to be on centos testing repository).
[root@server ~]# db yum_repositories show centos-testing
centos-testing=repository
BaseURL=http://dev.centos.org/centos/4/testing/i386/
GPGCheck=yes
GPGKey=http://dev.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-testing
Name=CentOS - testing
Visible=yes
status=disabled
[root@server ~]# yum --enablerepo=centos-testing install ruby ruby-libs ruby-devel ruby-mysql ruby-ri ruby-postgres ruby-rdoc ruby-docs
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Loading "fastestmirror" plugin
Loading "smeserver" plugin
Loading "protect-packages" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: ruby
No Match for argument: ruby-libs
No Match for argument: ruby-devel
No Match for argument: ruby-mysql
No Match for argument: ruby-ri
No Match for argument: ruby-postgres
No Match for argument: ruby-rdoc
No Match for argument: ruby-docs
Nothing to do
Is there another simple way ?
Thanks,
David

CentOS4 is end-of-life, as is SME7. Moving to SME8 should make life easier for you.
