Title: Upgrade to 5.5 problem
Post by: Ian D on July 23, 2002, 07:42:55 PM
I just tried upgrading my server from 5.1.2 to 5.5 and all went well untill the reboot. It said the file system had been mounted 21 times without checking and a while into the check, it bombed out sayding CTRL D to reboot or I could use fsck ? I think it was to repair. Could someone give me the command line info I need to run this as I am not in that deep with Linux to know the correct way to use it. I do have a backup to restore but there are one or 2 changes that would be nice to keep if I can rescue the system.

Thanks everyone
Ian

Try:

fsck -t ext2 /dev/hda6

to all.

Good Luck !
