Hello,
Until i install virtualbox and phpvirtualbox, my phpmyadmin is broken.
when I try to acces to the page, I have this errors :
Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/select_lang.lib.php on line 146
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/select_lang.lib.php:146) in /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/core.lib.php on line 605
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/select_lang.lib.php:146) in /usr/share/phpmyadmin/index.php on line 99
My PHP is in version 5.3.3.
Do you know why I've got this error ?
Thanks in advance.
-
how did you install phpmyadmin ?
-
I used this method : http://wiki.contribs.org/PHPMyAdmin
And it worked fine until the update with phpvirtualbox
I think with VirtualBox PHP version is updated and has become incompatible with the package smeserver-phpmyadmin.
There are dependency problems when I try to reinstall it, but I can not solve this problem.

maybe, but you are not helping us to help you..
what version of php are you using?
how did you install virtualbox php?

neither us, since you are not telling us what problems you are referring to..
you are only saying "it does not work"

Thank you for your answer.
My php version is 5.3.3 on Linux smesrv 2.6.18-308.13.1.el5
And for virtualbox, I use this method :
http://wiki.contribs.org/VirtualBox_4.0_on_SME_Server_v8_beta_6 (http://wiki.contribs.org/VirtualBox_4.0_on_SME_Server_v8_beta_6)
VirtualBox works well until point 35 of this wiki.
The VM automatic start doesn't work but it's not a problem.
And for that, i install PHP-SOAP : yum install php-soap
(see point 21 of the wiki)
neither us, since you are not telling us what problems you are referring to..
you are only saying "it does not work"
I try to give you the best information.. It's not easy. But i'll do my best.
Thank you for your help

ok, let's start from here..
define "dependency problems" and to do it:
- tell us what command are you using (the exact syntax)
- tell us the output (copy and paste, please)
thank you
-
for the first question
Do you know why I've got this error ?
yes this version of phpmyadmin is not supported on sme8 ( it is not compatible with php 5.3.3) , please DO NOT USE IT, in any maner to modify your database or data stored in your database. You could loose your data.
I am working on porting the last version please be patient.

phpmyadmin-2.11.11.3-1.el4.rf.noarch
smeserver-phpmyadmin-2.11.1.2-3.el4.sme.noarch
expand-template /usr/share/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php
expand-template /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
/usr/local/bin/svc -h /service/httpd-e-smith

again DO NOT use it on SME 8 as the phpmyadmin version available is PHP53 deprecated. You will corrupt your data using it.
use mysql command lines instead for the moment.
a new version is on it way in the buildsys. be patient.

Is this smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme.noarch now the correct version to use on SME 8 ? Which of course will need the other packages that go along with it as I see in the smecontribs repository a smeserver-phpmyadmin and when I did a check on it is shows the smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme.noarch being used so I assume this is the correct version to now use for SME 8??
-
@Mntsnow,
the new package still needs final approval and closing of the 'bug' report. Please see:
http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?format=multiple&id=7088
until then, use at your own risk

Thanks RequestedDeletion 8-)

I checked and saw that it is already CLOSED-FIXED, so the pertaining question would be: Any news on when will the package be available for use?
Thank you for your reply.
-
i need to push the package to smecontribs, as it has been tested already. I do it ASAP.

A billion thank you's ! :-D
-
well in fact they are in place (just checked)
Indeed old one is still there i will have a look with Shad to remove the old one from repo.
When you do a clean install which ones are installed :
smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme.noarch.rpm
and
phpMyAdmin3-3.5.2.2-1.el5.noarch.rpm
or
phpmyadmin-2.11.11.3-2.el5.rf.noarch.rpm
if you update it should also remove all old package .
a rpm -qa|grep -i 'phpmyadmin'
should only return after installation or update
smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-1.el5.sme
phpMyAdmin3-3.5.2.2-1.el5
i also need to update the wiki
-
wiki updated : http://wiki.contribs.org/PHPMyAdmin
and also : http://wiki.contribs.org/SME8.0_Contribs_QA#smeserver-phpmyadmin
sorry for phpmyadmin multiuser adept do not have the time right now to adapt it, maybe in the next month.
-
On my SME 8.0 64bit Clean install it returned
phpMyAdmin3-3.5.2.2-1.el5
smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme
On my SME 8.0 32bit Clean install it returned
phpMyAdmin3-3.5.2.2-1.el5
smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme
So it looks like the packages came through ok to my new installs over the weekend (did the 32bit Saturday and then the 64bit on Sunday)
-
so everything is good.
they were release in smecontribs on 9 /9/2012

I have SME 8 x64 and received the following error. I also get a similar error during my normal updates, but that's a different issue.
php-process-5.3.3-1.el5.sme.6.x86_64 from installed has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: php-common = 5.3.3-1.el5.sme.6 is needed by package php-process-5.3.3-1.el5.sme.6.x86_64 (installed)
Error: Missing Dependency: php-common = 5.3.3-1.el5.sme.6 is needed by package php-process-5.3.3-1.el5.sme.6.x86_64 (installed)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.
I ran
yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-phpmyadmin

they are related, your php package is not up to date
if you have this for update (excluding smecontribs repo) and for installation of phpmyadmin . please raise a bug in order to investigate add me in cc for the bug
i would alsofirst try update your php process as it is out dated
yum install php-process
php-process x86_64 5.3.3-13.el5.sme.1 smeaddons 40 k
so try
yum update php

I've downloaded and placed phpmyadmin in an ibay. And it runs great.
I have a very basic understanding for the sme server, could someone explain to me why there is a need for a phpmyadmin sme package?
Thanks
-
The Wiki instructions appear to not be correct, the expand-template command needs to be
expand-template /etc/phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php
After doing that, phpmyadmin started working fine for me. Before that, I would be repeatedly asked to log in, and even with the correct username and password, I couldn't get in.
-
true for sme8 the config file is not at the same place
i update the wiki
