I have migrated mails from clearOS to SME8 server by using imapsync command.Everthing is working fine for the imap clients, however for the pop mail clients they are able to login through the webmail of SME8 but they cannot send mails through outlook.

Take a look here:

You need smtp authentication by default to send mail.

I have followed the procedure which you suggested but still i am facing the problem. When i try to send a mail its asking for username and password again and again. But its working fine through the webmail for the same user

are they able to retrieve their mail at least or not with POP ?
or is this only to send mail from outlook that they can not ?
what returns this?
rpm -qa e-smith-pop3

It really sounds like a Outlook configuration (or misconfiguration) issue.
Install another email client eg Thunderbird and configure it for POP using the same same settings, and see if "it" works OK.
That way you can work out whether the issue is isolated to Outlook or not.
You might want to tick the box that says "Leave a copy of messages on server" or similar, or otherwise use a test account for the above testing.

before trying another client, answer my 3 questions there was a bug in this package, which lead to impossibility to log in using pop, so impossible to retrieve any email.
If it is the case, this mean that you are not up to date and a simple "yum update" should solve your issue.
webmail is using imap, so if imap works so do webmail .....

It returns
e-smith-pop3-2.2.0-6.el5.sme
I can't retrieve email. I don't know about sending because I can't complete process. I don't have Outlook, I have Android. IMAP works fine. I was under the impression that in order to fix the initial bug to retrieve POP3 email, you must do a yum update from the testing contribs. I don't like doing anything from the testing contribs, so I waited. But after seeing this post I tried, and it's still inoperable.
Settings I am using:
POP3 incoming: 110
POP3 Authent: SSL TLS
POP3 Outgoin: 25
POP3 Authent: SSL TLS
Requires authentication for outgoing
Server: mydomain.tk
Should I try using different ports?

for sure.. 465 fot ssmtp and 995 for pop3s.. but I strongly suggest you to use imap (993 imaps)

I do use imaps
However, I need pop3 for all my jabber users utilizing Trillian. Trillian is only pop3

if trillian supports pop3s, use ssl on port 995, otherwise you must enable pop3 on wan side (it's available only for lan by design)

Ok, and I haven't done any searching for this answer since I am currently replying via cell phone (and driving :-( ), but would it be ssl v2, ssl v3, or ssl tls for the authentication
-
you should check the box for Server with SSL connexion wich will lead to port changed from 110 to 995
leave none for the authentication ( no ssl tls no sslv2 no sslv3)
-
won't work with trillian. Didn't have that option, and it won't connect on authorization none
-
Well at least it is how it works with outlook, thunderbird , authentication with encryption set to "none" or "normal password"...
About Trillian, you should have at least an option like "normal password" for authentication, otherwise the client is incomplete, and you should see with Trillian support/community.
