Title: Restoring a single or group of files from Workstation backup?

The heading says it all really. I see mention of single file restore, but the only restore option I have seems to want to restore to a new machine? Is it not possible to restore a single file or directory with the workstation backup routine? Did have a look around the wiki and forums but trying to read this onsite with a netbook is not fun. Any help really welcome.

If you have configured Workstation Backup and conducted a backup, you can use, from the server-manager, Selective file restore from Workstation to select a single file or a group of files to be restored...

Thats what I thought, but it seems on mine only to offer a full restore to a new machine?
There are two backup sets in the regime, neither of which when selected give me any other option, wonder where I am going wrong?

When logged into the server-manger and from the menu item Backup or Restore you are saying there is no option "Selective file restore from Workstation", when that is selected you then get the option to choose which backup to use or use all of them..

Are you using the default backup and restore from the server-manager or a contrib like DAR2?

I am an idiot, forgive me, never had to do a selective before, embarrassed to say it was the bottom option   :roll:

No worries, if anyone on here says they have not been gotten by a similar gotcha they would be less than truthful,  :lol: :lol: me included... :-)

Its always the obvious things that bite you hardest..
