Title: How to install Nagios on SME Server 8

Hi,

I've been trying to install nagios on sme server 8. I've read the following:

But just haven't been able to do it.
It seems easy enough to install the nagios package.
One thing that has always confused me is how services work in sme server.
e.g. How do you get to https://yourdomain.com/nagios

If someone could point me to some documentation that could help me understand this would be helpful

Concerning the howto, I cannot install some of the packages. They don't seem to be hosted where the contrib says:

Cannot open file: smeserver-nagios-*.noarch.rpm. Skipping.
Cannot open file: pnp-*.i386.rpm. Skipping.
Cannot open file: smeserver-nagios-backup-*.noarch.rpm. Skipping.
After this point I can imagine everything in the howto is not going to work. e.g.

root ~/affa_packages # /bin/cp -ba /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg-smeserver /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg
/bin/cp: cannot stat `/etc/nagios/nagios.cfg-smeserver': No such file or directory

root ~/affa_packages # /bin/cp -ba /etc/nagios/cgi.cfg-smeserver /etc/nagios/cgi.cfg
/bin/cp: cannot stat `/etc/nagios/cgi.cfg-smeserver': No such file or directory

Did you copy all the files to your server? Are you installing from the same location as the downloaded files?

Yeh I did,

http://distro.ibiblio.org/smeserver/contribs/michaelw/sme7/Nagios3/packages/

You see the smeserver nagios package isn't present

Looks like they are in version 7 smecontribs

The smeserver RPMs seems not to be found anywhere - does anyone have them available?

Saw some of the files in 7.6 obsolete. I'm not sure the dependencies are there. Also saw some pieces in 8.0 contribs. I not sure if the pnp there will work, might be different or the name may have been changed

Everything moved to the obsolete directory tree since sme7 EOL.
