Title: smeserver-dar2 - change destination e-mail address
Post by: Jáder on October 18, 2012, 12:18:15 PM
I´m using smeserver-dar2 to make backups to usb devices (I prefer it than internal solution).
I´d like to change the e-mail who receive the report about backup.

By talking with CharlieBradie on another task I understand I can change the MAILTO variable on /etc/crontab but that apply to all cron jobs... and I´d change that JUST for this dar2 jobs.

It´s this possible  ?

I found this on google: http://serverfault.com/questions/33504/override-mailto-for-a-single-crontab-entry
but they have no final answers and I´m afraid of test it ... sorry

What about creating a "dar2" user (with admin privileges), then moving the dar2 crontab entry to that user (then you could set a custom mailto value for the crontab belonging to dar2)?

Or, install the Mailsorting (http://wiki.contribs.org/Mailsorting) contrib and create rules to forward the dar2 notifications to another mailbox.

Or, setup an account for 'root' in Thunderbird and create a filter to forward the dar2 messages.

Move your cron specification from /etc/crontab to /etc/cron.d/dar2.
