Title: MediaWiki install fail

I've tried:
http://wiki.contribs.org/Mediawiki
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,47013.0.html
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Upgrade#Basic_overview

So far when browsing to https://mydomain/wiki the error returned is:
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong - I've followed the various instructions from these forums, as well as from MediaWiki...the SME install seems to go OK, creates the database & users, as well as the directory...but the config just doesn't seem to run.

you'll find usefull info into httpd's directory in /var/log
