Title: Running post-upgrade takes 7 minutes for 200 users, normal?
Post by: Michail Pappas on November 13, 2012, 07:06:38 AM
I can't exactly pinpoint whether this was always slow or not, but some 3 months ago I installed 8.0 under ESXi 5.0u1. VMWare tools are running on SME.

I have some 200 users installed. No LVM and no raid. SME runs in server-only mode. Squid disabled, ibays unused. Main use of the box is for POP-3 mail.

Notice the attached log file: doing a post-upgrade takes some 7'.

Opened bug report 7167 (http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7167) for the issue.

Hello Michail,

I think this is the way: the more users, the longer time "post-upgrade" seems to need. I have a SME with more than 800 users. On this box the "post-upgrade" sometime needs 15-20 minutes...

Seems so. Check the discussion in the bug cited in my first post above.
