I have several mailing lists, some of which are set up as "user posts only". Mostly this works fine, but recently some subscribers have been wrongly restricted from posting.
I think the problem may be caused by these users' from-addresses. The from-addresses I can see in the qmail log-file are for these users something like "prvs=06341a03bb=user@company.com", including the equal signs etc., whereas the from address usually looks like just "user@company.com".
My guess is, that ezmlm gets confused because of the extra text in these addresses, but I don't know what to do about it. Is there some way to make ezmlm just skip the extra text, or to make these users use a more "standard" from-address?

Hi I had/have this same problem with one of my mailing lists. This message may not be very helpful but may give you some pointers.
One user (only) is "protected" by prvs. Apparently (take this with two grains of salt) ezmlm doesn't know how to handle the the prvs tag in the from/reply to address and because this changes every time subscribing. I did read up on how to set up a unique mailto address for each user affected but I don't remember where or how.
My solution was to have the user use their personal email rather than their work email address (the ML was nothing to do with their work) for sending and I manually subscribed their work address so that they could at least see posts (<10 per month) when they happen.
Hopefully this gives you some vague point in the right direction. Google BATV ezmlm and look for a link to old Nabble, IIRC this was somewhat informative of the problem/solution.
