Title: upgrade from sme8 beta 6 to sme8.0 release

Previously I installed sme8 beta i386 version, I just wonder if I could upgrade to sme8.0 release x86-64 version directly using the installation CD? If I do so, can all the data in /home can be keeping unchanged? Or I should backup the /home first, then restore to the system after upgrade process?

Please give me some advice. Thanks

No.

Just do standard SME backup then restore.
