You cannot make this work (that I know of, anyhow).
Here is a good (secure) solution to let you access server manager from the internet.

Andres,
What version of SME are you using.??
If it is 5.5, at the bottom of the "remote access" page in the server-manager there is link to a page that will allow you to enable remote access to the server-manager via SSL. You will need to specify an ip address or range of address's. You could specify 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 which would allow access from anywhere but could be a major security issue. If you do this make sure your root/admin password is as complex and long as you can remember.
If you are using less than 5.5 read this
http://www.e-smith.org/docs/howto/remote-mgr-access-howto.html
The most secure would be to use SSH access using putty

How about adding the local network block to 'Local Networks'? I use 10.10.1.x for my network and I added 10.0.0.0. I'm routing thru an IPCop box (but I doubt that makes a difference).
Just drawing straws here. :)
