Title: e-mail-addresses with "."
Post by: Niels on July 31, 2002, 07:05:01 PM
Hello!

I have a problem... I have to transfer existing e-mail-addresses from another domain to my Mitel Networks SME Server V5.1.2. The existing mail contains a dot (".") between the first name and the last name... I can only make the SME-server create mail addresses with dots if its for the root-domain (auto-generated). How do I create the correct e-mail address on the SME-server? I want to do this with several domains...

Example:

My SME-server is called Jupiter.

I want to transfer "firstname.lastname@old_domain.com" to the SME-server.
The only address I can get SME-server to create is "firstname.lastname@Jupiter.com"

Can anyone help me out?

Kind regards, Niels

Create a Virtual Domain called old_domain.com on your SME server. Then firstname.lastname@Jupiter.com = firstname.lastname@old_domain.com.
