Title: 32 vs 64 bit
Post by: groyk on May 01, 2013, 10:27:22 AM
Dear SME contributors

I have searched the forum without luck.

For a new server Core I5, 16gb ram 2x250Gb Discs.

Witch SME version to go with
32bit (PAE Kernel)
64bit

I need some addons for the servers (Affa, VPN s2s, VirtualBox ect.)

Is there anything to be aware of regarding to 32bits workstations (WinXP)

Please let my know your opinions.

On one machine I am running Proxmox to create virtual machines.
2 SME 32bit virtual machinces are runing great on it. I am not running raid on these no production servers but hardware raid is possible. I would think the sme 9 version on bare metal would be nice to run on that system in the near future.
