Title: Kernel version not updaetd as yet
Post by: apmuthu on June 04, 2013, 04:54:31 PM
CentOS v5.9 now has:
kernel-2.6.18-348.6.1.el5.i686.rpm (http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5.9/updates/i386/RPMS/kernel-2.6.18-348.6.1.el5.i686.rpm)

SMEServer only has:
kernel-2.6.18-348.4.1.el5.i686.rpm (http://sme-mirror.firewall-services.com/releases/8.0/smeupdates/i386/RPMS/kernel-2.6.18-348.4.1.el5.i686.rpm)

Asterisk and Digium have released their packages to match the latest CentOS kernel.
On a plain vanilla install, where does the SMEServer take it's kernel from - contribs repo or centos repo?

kernel-2.6.18-348.6.1.el5.i686.rpm is in smetest

kernel updates are not automatically released due to earlier problems. It should be released soon - i.e. within days.
As Charlie points out a bug is a good way to raise the profile and have it released quickly.
