Title: remoteuseraccess
Post by: crazybob on July 26, 2013, 02:28:54 AM
I have installed the latest version of smeserver-remoteuseraccess on sme8 fully updated. when I set it so a user should have access to an i-bay, and log in as that user using putty, I am in the users folder rather than in the i-bay. I have given them shell access, sudo, and RSSH + VPN Access. I use the pull down to select the i-bay, but it appears it is not changing the chroot path. Need a pointer or two

Thanks

and that is how it should happen..

The iBay is accessed as usual

Where is the path for the user placed? Is it a db value? is there someplace I can change it manually?
TIA

AFAIK the behaviour above is as designed, setting the path only sets an FTP Chroot path for that user.

config setprop ftp ChrootDir home

Thanks, You are correct. Ftp does chroot properly. I started to open a bug a few minutes ago, and discovered an old bug that mentioned the same thing.
