Title: Admin login to text server manager
Post by: billi on August 29, 2013, 09:24:45 AM
Admin login to text server manager.
I cannot logon to the txt base server manager any more.
I was playing with /etc/group file and perhaps screwed up on of the names.
Does anyone know what group the admin must be in to use the server manage.

Try to login as "root" using same admin password

Thanks Jader
I did try root with no luck
I tried passwd change to the old password for both admin and root (synchronized)
Both logins work to get into the system via ssh.
Tried login again with no luck
Any other idea's

Clear your browser's cache history? Here in Firefox
it is with CtrlShiftDel then select 'cache'. Afterwards
you will probably succeed with the admin login.

I was playing with /etc/group file ...

That's a very bad idea.

'admin' should be in its own group ('admin'). It should also belong to the groups 'root', 'www', 'shared' and possibly some i-bays.
