Post by: Bud on October 01, 2013, 12:16:26 PM
Guys please help

first time using affa

i need to backup sme8 mysql database's including folders in eg: /opt/app1, opt/app2, /opt/app3etc.

i want to use affa to backup all this data to a freenas server including being sent an email message to a group of users indicating what backup has been made and if the backup was successfull and from where the email message came from.

any help greatly appreciated  :-)

affa creates a "standard" SME backup, so mysql dbs are already in the backup set

for the other question, please read the affa page in the wiki and search the forums: your question has already been answered

including being sent an email message to a group of users indicating what backup has been made and if the backup was successfull and from where the email message came from.

Please keep in mind that the default mail 'policy' of Affa is to NOT send an email on every success, but only send an email on failure. (As per a 'cockpit' where you only get alerts when something is wrong).

As per Stefano's suggestion, please study the Affa wiki page.
