Title: Configure Workstation Backup
Post by: MrYoso on October 16, 2013, 08:42:12 AM
Hi,

I am a new user of SME 8.0 and i'm also newbie in Linux. Requesting for some help me in configuring my server workstation backup.
I don't know what to fill in Backup workstation settings and Workstation Backup Settings.
Some confusion in backup sets and recommended Backup compression level.

Hope for your response and help regarding this matter.

Thanks!

Typical scenarios

Select Configure Workstation Backup and click perform

Windows Share
With Server backing up to a removable or shared drive in a workstation, with a weekly full backup on Friday and subsequent daily incremental backups & you wish to retain 2 backup sets on each disk, with backup to start at 8pm and finish at 8am.

Above from the wiki is eactly what you want to do excpet it also is setup to retain 2 backup sets.
