Title: Auth password on outbound root
Post by: majordan on November 06, 2013, 02:47:04 PM
Hi
I am trying to setup a route for remote workers to be able to dial local/national numbers through the host PBX but requiring an Auth code to do so. There is an Auth option in the route - if it is off it works perfectly and remote users can make normal calls, but when on stops all outbound calls - which is what I want. What is the default code and where is it kept?
Mike

Plain Asterisk, Sail, FreePBX, versions, SME setup, What option where? Trunk info etc etc would be nice.

Sorry more info
The system is running SARK v3.1 - the route has an option to Auth, to enable a password to be type in before the external call is made. I can find no info regarding Auth anywhere or what its default is or how to change it :(

Ok. I don;t have Sail 3.1 installed, but my best guess is to take a look at the trunks settings defined with a route. Or wait until one of the Sail devs or other users have the time to address you question.

Cheers,

Hi
The problem is solved - the file is selauth.conf (very easy if you know) - Thank you for anyone who responded to my question.

Good catch and good for you. Now someone needs to put it on the SAIL wiki, or adjust the tooltip ;-)
