Title: Raid 5 question

The documentation states to achieve raid 5 during installation you need a minimum of 4 disks which will give raid 5 plus a hot spare.        I don't need that amount of redundancy, is it possible to have a 3 disk raid 5 set without a hot spare.

normally with "sme spares=0" on Three drives you will have raid5

else

sme raid=5 spares=0
