Title: Zarafa access forbidden
Post by: NoTo on December 01, 2013, 12:41:12 PM
Just installed Zarafa with the install script and opted for the 'unix' rather than db option. All appears to have gone well with no errors. After reconfigure and reboot, I did the config setprop zarafa-server GlobalForward enabled and /etc/e-smith/events/actions/qmail-update-user

When I navigate to https://servername/zarafa (or /webaccess or /webapp) I am told I am Forbidden and don't have permission to access /webaccess or /zarafa etc.

I note it's been a bug in the past but was fixed.

Could you tell me the first place I should look for a solution?

Thanks in advance,
Graham

Edited to add: I note the zarafa database has absolutely nothing in it, not a single table. Could that be part of the problem?  :?

the script is designed for 64 bit architecture and therefore if you have a 32 bit OS installed, it can not be workable. Possibly you have to adapt the script to download a zarafa binary compatible for your architecture (see at the end of the file)

this should be written in the wiki page, of course if it is  your problem

Yes, that is the problem  :x

No, the wiki pages that I looked at didn't mention it

I suppose my question now is how the heck I get rid of whatever it's installed  :?

I'll try to update the wiki and the script shortly.

Take a look at the script and see what it actually does. You will find that RPM's have to be removed as well as custom templates. Then remove any config db zarafa-* related entry and post-signal and reboot.

Your server is a test server yes?...

Yes, it's only the test server, so there is nothing to lose. It is an interesting exercise to discover if I can recover from my own stupidity

The issue is not your stupidity, the issue is the lack of rpm for this contrib.
