Title: Email attachment garbled

Hi
I am running SME server 8.1 and it seems that I am experiencing a rather old bug:

where some email attachment are displayed as garbled text on the email clients.
I do not quite understand the status of the bug, should I
1) disable the tnef2mime plugin
2) patch it as suggested in the comments
3) wait for a proper fix from developers
4) open a new bug report

Apply the patch in comment 7.

None of the above - you should add a note to the pre-existing bug, adding your information that the problem still exists and is causing a problem for you. Then you should apply the patch in comment 7.
