Title: Backup fails after swapping our usb drives
Post by: libitguy on March 12, 2014, 09:00:09 PM
Hi,

The drive's been working fine for months. swapped it out for a larger drive, and got this error message:

DAILY BACKUP TO WORKSTATION REPORT
 ==================================
 Backup started at Tue Mar 11 02:00:17 2014
 Backup of mysql databases has been done
 Mounting backup shared directory localhost/media/cdrecorder
 *** No backup allowed or error during backup ***
 Error while mounting /media/cdrecorder :
 mount: No medium found

Put the old one back in, and now it generates that error message, too.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

A bit more info would have been handy, SME version, the backup config et

What was the label of the new, I take it you are talking about a USB HD, drive. The system was looking for the backup share "cdrecorder"

Did you redo the label of the new drive, what is the system seeing it as?

Added: details like following

[root@sme8 ~]# db configuration show backupwk
backupwk=service
    BackupTime=22:00
    Compression=6
    CompressionProg=gzip
    DaysInSet=1
    FullDay=7
    IncOnlyTimeout=no
    Login=
    Password=
    Program=dar
    SetsMax=1
    SmbHost=localhost
    SmbShare=media/BACKUP
    Timeout=8
    VFSType=usb
    status=enabled

You might find something useful in /var/log/messages.
