Title: MRTG on E-smith

I read in older message's that MRTG doesn't work on E-smith.

Is MRTG still not available for SME server V5.5. ??

Hi,

I followed this HowTo for MRTG but is doesn't work with SME 5.5

Is there anybody who has MRTG running on SME 5.5 (new-install, no update).

Actualy I use CACTI:

It´s MRTG + RDDToll + a web interface to configuration!!

I can garantee this work on SME 5.5 .

Hmm, I had this working on 5.1.2 but cannot get it to even install in v5.5.
When i go to install the first rpm i get this error....

error: failed dependencies:
        libcrypto.so.1   is needed by ucd-snmp-4.2.3-1.7.0.4
[root@e-smith root]#
------------------------------------

Ive tried looking for this file, anyone got any ideas on this please as im really stuck now..

It should if you have the updated packages...

Right now I´m trying to do it work on my SME 5.6 unsup test machine... but I have a dependency problem.... ucd-snmp-utils on SME needs to be 4.2.5.7.73 just like ucd-snmp but I had been unable to find this package till now.

I´ll write to developers list and ask them!

Just wait a couple of days... I´ll write back!

I just found them and install CACTI on SME 5.6.

I was looking for ucd-snmp-utils on fr.rpmfind.net and found it on rpmfind.net !

It´s working but I don´t know if I dont broke something on my server...

I have just installed the Cacti software as described in this How-To:

I am able to go through all the installation - somewhat easier than the mrgt on SME I might add.

In the Console page: I have added the 'localhost' in the SNMP Settings by clicking 'Add'. I have also 'Refreshed interfaces'.

I face one problem though: in the Graphs page I see all empty placeholders and no graphs. Do I miss something or have I not added some crucial thing in the Cacti installation.

Under the Console/Configuration/Cron Printout: I see empty lines after a refresh Only the line:
/usr/bin/smbstatus | grep -c "_"       has information " 0  "

Does anyone have a clue - what I do wrong?
