Title: Strange error when trying to install an update.
Post by: Mntsnow on April 19, 2014, 06:29:48 PM
While trying to apply updates to my SME 9 test VM I was getting an error.  so I went through the process of manually updating the listed updates one by one to find out which was causing my error.  This is what was shown.   What do I do to fix it?  I do not understand the "rpm" statement when I'm using yum..

Code: [Select]
[root@sme9b1-vm ~]# yum update smeserver-support.noarch
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, smeserver

Still having issues with smeserver-support.noarch 0:2.6.0-1.el6.sme installing.   This morning I was able to have the system update the mod_perl just fine when unchecking the smeserver-support update...

Well I think I got it to install....ended up downloading the smeserver-support.noarch 0:2.6.0-1.el6.sme rpm and manually installing it via command line using yum and the --nodeps switch.
and then issued the reconfigure and reboot commands.  Server has rebooted and currently shows no updates and seems fine at this moment..

since SME 9 is still in development, you should post all in bugzilla

Your system is modified. Neither libgomp nor gcc are part of SME server. Your simplest solution is to re-install. Failing that you could remove those rpms.
