Title: Is anyone using ahbl.org blacklists?
Post by: CharlieBrady on April 29, 2014, 02:23:51 AM

http://www.dnsbl.com/2014/04/status-of-dnsblahblorg-shutting-down.html

"On March 26, 2014, blacklist administrator Brielle Bruns announced that the Abusive Hosts Blocking List DNSBLs are to be shut down."

"As a result, the lists dnsbl.ahbl.org, ircbl.ahbl.org and rhsbl.ahbl.org, and associated public look up tools are being retired."

Thanks Charlie!!!

I had one of them configured.

We have this by default on SME8

more /etc/e-smith/db/configuration/defaults/qpsmtpd/RBLList
bl.spamcop.net:dnsbl.ahbl.org:dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net:dnsbl-2.uceprotect.net:psbl.surriel.com:zen.spamhaus.org

and on SME9

[root@www migrate]# more /etc/e-smith-release
SME Server release 9.0beta4
[root@www migrate]# more /etc/e-smith/db/configuration/defaults/qpsmtpd/RBLList
bl.spamcop.net:combined.njabl.org:dnsbl.ahbl.org:dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net:dnsbl-2.uceprotect.net:list.dsbl.org:multihop.dsbl.org:psbl.
surriel.com:zen.spamhaus.org

So we need to remove those from the defaults, and also add dnsbl.ahbl.org to the 20RBLList migrate fragment.

Is there more to it than that?

Post to bugzilla please and we will capture all followup discussion there. Thanks.

This needs a bug otherwise it will get lost.
SME 9 RC1 is being prepared - it could go into there...

Bug created
http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8366
It needs duplicating to a sme 9 bug I assume.
