Title: Problem installing SME Server 8.1
Post by: sreusr on May 16, 2014, 04:52:21 PM
Hi together

Thanks for this great server distro, I tried it in a virtual machine and like to deploy it on a real machine now, unfortunately, after checking the disk image in installation, the routine checks for other SME Server installs, and after that I just get an error message from python and need to reboot the system.

Any clue why this is? The harddisk in use is not empty, does it have to?

Any help would be great!

The python message would help. You should try this:

- Boot from the CD
- At the boot prompt, type
Code: [Select]
sme nodmraid

Then press enter and install as usual.

Regards, Daniel

The python message would help.

Please capture a photo of the python message, and create a new bug in the bug tracker, and attach the photo.
