Hi Guys Good day!
I got existing old Windows Server running as DHCP & DNS Server, & planning to migrate it to SME Server, I'm done with DHCP Manager install & all settings has been input DNS, WINS, Gateway & DHCP Start & End is on hand.
Enable DHCPd : No
My question are how about my DNS Server for SME? & does my existing IT equipment will functioning just like they having their IP Address from Windows Server? TIA

SME will serve DNS and DHCP. You can optionally enter specific DNS servers in SME's configuration; if you don't, it will find DNS on its own.

you have a contrib to manage dhcp service http://wiki.contribs.org/Dhcpmanager

@DanB35, yeah! thanks for that! BTW forgot to mention that we do have Primary & Secondary DNS at our main office since I'm only a branch of their business. I will specifically input those IP Addresses. much appreciated your time Dan. :-)
@stephdl, BTW I'm done with your DHCP Manager contrib (forgot to mention). :D Thanks much!
This is my first time to do this, do I need to disabled the services of DNS from Windows Server too? just like DHCP Services? custom gateway is my router right? TIA

Hi & I can't update my last post, though I will proceeding again & i got new hardware for final version of SME 9.0
Forgot to mention that I got shared drive utilizing Active Directory access on this Windows Server, my question is if I proceed now does their access on shared drive will not be affected even if I migrated the DHCP & DNS services to SME 9.0? BTW this Windows Server is not a Domain Controller, it's just File Server, DHCP & DNS Server to be migrated on SME 9.0. TIA
