Title: Can 5.5 use 5.12 add-ins?
Post by: Charlie on August 14, 2002, 02:18:35 AM
I've gotten so used to a couple add-ins that I may be inclinded to stay with SME 5.12 if they don't work in SME 5.5.

apache-hits
awstats
imp3 (I think this is standard on SME5.5)
port opening
usermanager

Most of these came from Darrell May's web site (much thanks Darrell).

If you got IMP3 from Darrell's site, it's only because he took it from mine, but yes, it's included in 5.5.  I haven't seen anything in 5.5 that would cause a problem with the apache-hits page.  Haven't tried the others, though.

Dan,
I'm bad at names. I was at work when I posted that message and couldn't remember your name. Darrell's name came to mind because I save a post of his. I've used a wrong name before and caused problems because if it.

Anyway, yes the IMP 3 came from your site. As a matter of fact, much of my inspiration to experiment with my home SME server came from looking at your site. Thanks for your work.

Well, I tried the above add-ins and they all seemed to load and function well. This is a test server so they haven't been extensively tested.
